Regional Roundtables shall be organized in Diyarbakır, Kayseri and Yalova in collaboration with Dicle, Erciyes and Yalova Universities. The aim is to discuss pre-determined issues regarding the exercise of rights by the migrants in these cities concerned and to offer them possible answers with the involvement of all stakeholders. The Roundtables shall bring the members of Chair, academics from the Dicle/Erciyes/Yalova Universities, members of the public authorities, of judiciary and Bar Associations in the cities concerned, of NGOs and civil society together. Each Regional Roundtable shall produce a policy paper including the questions and possible answers which shall be submitted to the Turkish Presidency of Migration Management and published on the web-site of the Chair.
Regional Roundtable I: Diyarbakır, Dicle University
We carried out the first field study of our project in Diyarbakır!
The International Migration Workshop, held on April 17–18, 2025 and hosted by Dicle University Faculty of Law, provided an opportunity to address the issue of migrants’ access to fundamental rights from a multi-stakeholder perspective.
During the two-day workshop, we came together with representatives from public institutions and civil society, as well as judges, prosecutors, and lawyers from Diyarbakır and surrounding provinces, engaging in valuable exchanges on legislation and practices.
